The Terrifying Truth about God

Consciousness

Surely you've noticed that your own mind is made of many voices. It's the proverbial angel versus devil on the shoulder. You have a voice that tells you to flip off the guy who cut you off in traffic but you have another voice saying not to escalate and to remain calm. This is just two of the voices. We are all riddled with any number of voices which create our consciousness. Now compare this to God.

When people speak of God as the one and only, they say he's omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. God literally is all things. But as many other traditions realize, that means everything is a manifestation of God as a super consciousness. Including us. We are the voices of God's consciousness and the world reflects God's mood like in a dream. We are made in the likeness of this God: multiple conscious inputs, often conflicting, and we have a dream state where we create our realities and believe them to be real.

When one stops to realize that we are the consciousness of God, it should cause a pause and a slight panic. Have you seen humanity lately? We fight, we war, we're selfish, and so on. Of course, there are also a few of us who are kind, considerate, and helpful. In a nutshell, we are conflicted. And so, being pieces of God who is everything, God is also conflicted. God is not pure good—good is itself an illusion of our own mind and the peace thereof. God is consciousness with just as much inner turmoil as ourselves in a perpetual dream of our own making as we constitute God's consciousness.

What's interesting about this, is that it leads to what we already know: we are in control of our destiny. The only real difference is that it's not as physical as we often expect. We can shape our world by making technology and moving dirt and materials. We physically construct or destruct so many things about this planet, but we continue to ignore the psychological aspect of it all.

We are the voices of God's consciousness and the world reflects God's mood like in a dream.

We are all aspects of the God consciousness. In such a way, we have manifestation power over the dream. The only issue is that we all have that capability together, and the vast majority of us are convinced so whole-heartedly that this is real, that people are evil, and that it's dog-eat-dog survival of the fittest out there, that we continue to hold that reality in place. The only way to fix it? Stop believing in it and start living like it's not true.

What's interesting, is that even without a God or manifestation, this is still the only way. Psychologically speaking, we are living the Prisoner's Dilemma. For those unfamiliar, consider two individuals arrested for some activity. They are questioned in separate rooms. If one of them fesses up and turns on the other, they can go free while the other goes to jail. If they both turn, however, they both go to jail. And if they both refuse to turn on each other, they both go free.

So how does the Prisoner's Dilemma relate here? Consider the choice as a frame of mind. We can either save ourselves through sacrificing others, or we can put trust in others to keep us safe. If we sacrifice others for personal gain, then we can continue doing this for as long as the others are willing to be the sacrifice. As soon as they stop being the sacrifice, however, and choose to play the game in the same way, you get war and destruction and a massive reset of the world. We all lose. But, of course, no one wants to be the one sacrificed and continue sacrificing just to be taken advantage of. But if both sides switch to cooperation, you get peace on earth: Utopia. Moksha. The Kingdom of God. Nirvana. Global enlightenment.

Now, I'm sure most people have already decided: yeah right, like that will happen! We are doomed. And that voice becomes the very consciousness of God that brings it about. The reset occurs. Samsara continues per Hindu tradition. We become the next Atlantis and we are forgotten to begin the cycle again for whoever remains.

We must all come to live in harmony or none of us do.

What's interesting, however, is that there will be fewer people remaining on Earth with the "confidence" that this is reality. They will become superstitious out of requirement for survival and there will be far fewer people to hold reality to what it is. And so, in this great reset, magic will once again be possible. When the consciousness isn't so sure that it's solid, things will begin to change just like in a lucid dream. This will benefit people for a time until more beings are created who solidify what is real through science, things become steadfast, the magic becomes fairytales and mythology, people are convinced of the dog eat dog, forget the reality of God, and recreate the conditions that kill us all and cause the reset.

This cycle will perpetuate for eternity unless God's consciousness (i.e. us) can get our act together and give God a coherent train of thought. A train that maintains self-control and doesn't war within. A train that balances the collective consciousness the same way we must learn to balance our own inner voices. We must recognize that we are stuck in this together no matter what. That we are each the same as each other. If not, we reincarnate and live this experience again and again and again. Sometimes as kings, sure, but sometimes as peasants and the ones being mutilated in wars. We start again freezing in the open wilderness and fearing the dark while our newly acquired lack of infrastructure is unable to protect us.

Recognizing all this should scare the shit out of us while the only answer to this remains that of removing fear. A wonderful paradox. We cannot fear what happens to us to the point we give up on another aspect of God's consciousness—our fellow humans. We must all come to live in harmony or none of us do. And it can't be forced as that simply causes the very division we long to remedy. It's a game of patience in the face of destruction. Peace in the face of fear. Holding the line for joy, and hope, and love in hopes that we can light the way for others to prevent the reset.

What a time to be alive where this can easily be shared but just as easily dismissed as folklore, magic, and idiocy. I will hold the line. I will do my part. I just hope more will come to realize this truth, drop everything, reject fear, and come together in unity to reclaim the consciousness of our reality at this pivotal moment. Evidence for this manifest dream and collective consciousness can be found in the freely offered book Your Mind is Made of Voices. Join me if you can.
