Freedom over Fear
To FLOW, I have to stop letting fear decide what life is for.
An authentic exploration of The Way
Guided introspection for authenticity, internal coherence, purpose, and self-trust.
Bring your questions, your uncommon ideas or beliefs, the doubts, or the parts of you that just want to be seen and known.
What I mean by The Way
I am exploring The Way as a way of flowing with life: less fear, more freedom; less collapse, more love; less control, more openness; less retreat, more wonder.
To FLOW, I have to stop letting fear decide what life is for.
To FLOW, I have to desire love more than the familiarity of suffering.
To FLOW, I have to loosen my demand that life become exactly what I want.
To FLOW, I have to remain available to the strange miracle of being here.
Learning in public
Some of what I write will be clear. Some will be provisional. Some may change as I learn. That is part of the point.
FLOW Restoration is a place to watch the exploration unfold: essays, reflections, experiments, mistakes, insights, and the next question that will not leave me alone.
The current map
FLOW gives me the essences: Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder. The practice is what I do with them: think them with the Mind, feel them as Spirit, and move them through the Body.
Mind begins the practice: notice the voices of fear, suffering, control, and withdrawal, then choose the thoughts that desire Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder.
Spirit lets FLOW become a lived state. Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder stop being ideas and become the energy, mood, and presence I carry.
Body is the current frontier: learning how FLOW moves as breath, posture, action, movement, and embodied participation instead of staying as hovering energy.
The mind work I can share
Your Mind is Made of Voices is the part of the path I can currently explain: how the mind becomes willing to FLOW.
If I am learning calculus, this book is the algebra that got me here. It is a framework for recognizing inner voices so the mind can stop blocking Spirit from moving toward Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder.
Notice which thoughts are asking you to fear, languish, control, or withdraw.
Let the mind begin wanting Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder more than its old protections.
When the mind stops gripping fear, Spirit has more room to move.
How to Feel it
Feeling FLOW from deep within is critical. It comes from intentionally focusing on the things that make us feel the warmth of love.
Focus on every little thing you do. Absorb the joy that can be found within.
Find the things that center you and bring you joy. Seek them, schedule them, and prioritize them.
Stop and feel. Breathe as you feel. Envision as you feel.
How to Move It
I believe this to be the third pillar. I have not yet done this. I am working on it now. These are my thoughts.
Complete control over the body. Core, flexibility, poise. Think: Tai Chi.
What you eat has a significant impact on your health and how you feel.
I posit that actual physical motion with intention and alignment is the force to move energy.
I am an engineer, writer, and spiritual student trying to understand how Mind, Spirit, and Body can be restored into FLOW.
I am drawn to Jesus, Dao, Zen, psychology, philosophy, systems, energy, and direct experience because they seem to keep circling the same mystery from different angles.
My core belief is simple: The Way is about becoming aligned enough with Freedom, Love, Openness, and Wonder that life can move through us differently.
I am making my exploration visible so anyone who recognizes it can read along, question with me, or reach out.
I am currently exploring mostly alone. If you recognize this path, have questions, want to compare notes, or simply feel that this is the kind of exploration you care about, you can reach out.
I am trying to make the exploration visible enough that resonant people can find it and, maybe, become part of the conversation.
Read Your Mind is Made of Voices. It is the clearest piece of the Mind alignment work I can currently share.
Conversation, honesty, unfinished notes, and whatever I learn next. If that is enough to interest you, I would be glad to hear from you.
